We are now looking for a Data Engineer to join our quickly growing team for a full-time permanent employment starting as soon as the right person is found. 

Your responsibilities 

You will be a key part of the tech team making sure things run smoothly, including: 

• Design, develop, test and maintain data architectures 
• Design and implement data pipelines, and data storage, cleansing and ingestion solutions 
• Align architecture and data models with business requirements 
• Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality 

What we expect from you 

• Experience with data engineering patterns (ingestion, transformation, storage, consumption etc.) 
• Experience with data pipeline development  
• Some experience in common design patterns to create an architecture for a state-of-the-art BI and analytics platform in the cloud 
• Experience with relational databases, designing of related data models as well as cloud storage (e.g. Azure Data lake, AWS S3 with EMR, or Google Cloud Storage) 
• Programming skills (e.g. in SQL, Python) 
• Experience in data modelling on a conceptual, logical, and/or physical level 
• Basic understanding of data management and data governance principles and best practices 
• Ability to understand and communicate the value of data for business decision-makers 
• Academic degree from a relevant field 
• Fluent communication skills in English (written and spoken) 
• Bonus: experience in a high-growth start-up/scale-up or financial services  
• Bonus: experience in crypto
